The Art-is-bald Prize

The Art-Is-Bald Prize is the coveted award for photographic excellence as a part of the Wimmera’s Art Is…Festival

There are two streams for the Prize;  Portraiture and Landscapography. 

 

Local photographers are invited to submit one photograph in each stream.

 

Photographs can be Colour or Black & White JPEG with minimal ‘post-editing’ and be between 1Mb and 3Mb in size.

What is a Portrait Photo?

 

An intentional photo of an individual/animal or a group of people/animals.

 A partnership between the photographer and the subject

 Artistic consideration of light, background and pose.

What is a Landscape Photo?

Landscape photography shows spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Landscape photographs typically capture the presence of nature but can also focus on man-made features or disturbances of landscapes.

Photographs entered into the 2022 Art-Is-Bald Prize will be posted onto the Art Is…Festival Website during the month of May

 

The top Photos, as judged by the Festival, and the On-Line People’s Choice will be put on public display for final judging by members of the public, during the Festival.

People’s Choice, First, Second and Third Prizes will be awarded for each stream at the Festival launch in late June.

 

So, have a dig through your photos, choose a ‘portrait’ and a ‘landscape’ and enter the 2022 Art-Is-Bald Prize.
