The song lines of Benny Walker and Alice Skye will crossover in this very special concert event as part of the June long weekend for the Art is… Festival.

Hailing from Echuca, Benny Walker a Yorta Yorta man, has been described lyrically ‘his music is the real deal’!  His love songs and epic tales are mixed with passion for people, the land, summer vibes and deep grooves that reach the soul. Capturing hearts with darker tracks reflecting the shadowy side of us, this talented musician has many accolades and awards for his music style.

Alice is a singer-songwriter, Wergaia woman and universal little sister. Now living in Melbourne, home to Alice Skye is country Victoria. Growing up aside the Grampians and no shortage of inspiration – music was unavoidable. It’s just her and her piano.

Alice songs sparkle with a sensitivity and maturity well beyond her years, accompanied by the gentle and hauntingly sparse melodies of a piano score. Very like young British singer-songwriter Birdy, Alice’s voice is a combination of hopeful and haunting, naturally sweet and slow and dreamlike. Her stripped back piano melodies elevate the gentle moodiness of her songwriting, transforming her once bedroom scribblings into well-crafted and articulated lyrics on love, loss and life.
