Children’s  Picture Book Illustration

Week 4: Creating finished Artwork

From initial concepts to final artwork, learn the process of creating a children’s picture book.

You will create original characters, develop a storyboard and explore different techniques to produce finished illustrations for your picture book.

This workshop includes demonstrations, looking at examples of successful children’s book Illustrators and information on children’s book publishing in Australia.

Refund Policy: To assist in the management of this workshop program a cancellation process is essential. Cancellation must be in writing/email to: artis@artis.wimmera.com.au Cancellations to 20th May 2019 refund 80% of fees paid;  cancellations from 21st May 2019 -refund 50% of fees paid.

Venue: via Zoom, 

Lorette is a children's book author and illustrator living in Melbourne, Australia.

She has always loved to draw and published her first book, Baby Bear goes to the Zoo, under Lothian Books in 1999 which won the Chricton Award for Illustration and was translated into five languages and sold over 200,000 copies.

Lorette teaches drawing and design at RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) and short courses in Writing and Illustrating Children's Picture Books at various institutions, including RMIT and CAE (Council of Adult Education)
