Born in Melbourne and now living in the Yarra Valley in Victoria.
Robert has been painting since the mid eighties , his style has been described as contemporary realism with a design element .His paintings have a strong focal point surrounded by soft focus to make the painting have a strong impact.
His painting technique includes using palette knife and juicy brush strokes to achieve the final result.
Robert loves to draw in charcoal in the same loose style .
He has won numerous awards ,including Best Oil/Acrylic Camberwell Rotary Art Show 2018, Best Acrylic “T he Great Art Show “Berwick 2019
Best In Show Kilmore Art Expo 2015 ,Most Popular Painting St. Kevin’s Art Show 2016 and The Art Excellence Award Australian Guild of Realist Artists 2004 and is a Fellow of A.G.R.A. , Ringwood Art Society and Valley Ten

2 sheets 300 GSM - Water colour paper -Rough Texture (I use Saunders)
Charcoal Assorted: Willow stick charcoal
Rubber (pencil) erazer
Plastic bag for rubbish
I piece of medium grade sandpaper
Roll of masking tape
Acrylic Workshop Materials list:
Stretched Canvas 60x60 white (Gesso)
Acrylic paints: Titanium White
Cadmium Yellow Light
Mediums: Binder Medium
I mostly use Mattesse or Golden paints. If you have Interactive acrylics please bring the appropriate mediums
waterspray bottle (fine mist)
Palette - not too small
Brushes: 20ml taklon flat
Assorted artists brushes (flats)
